Classic Panto in White

I typically start my quilts without a recipient in mind. It's a bit like that meme about Target - you don't go to Target with a list, you let Target tell you what you need. I let the quilts I make tell me who they're for.
For this Flicker quilt, it became evident about halfway through who it was for - not only is my husband's favorite color orange, but his birthday was coming up and he loved the optical illusion of the pattern.
In the layout below, you can see that it ended up being a pretty busy quilt top. The fabrics I chose combined with the pattern made for a lot going on!

So when I loaded it onto the frame and it was time for quilting, I let the busyness of the quilt drive my panto and thread selections.
For the thread, I went with a white that wouldn't fight with the pattern. And since there are so many right angles and flying geese, I went with the easy meandering path of the Classic Panto. I love the way it completes this piece.
